The Dubai World Cup is held at Meydan Racecourse as part of the Dubai Racing Club. In general, the Dubai World Cup stakes race is open to horses who are three and older. The event covers 1¼ miles (2000 meters) on dirt at Meydan and this is the centerpiece of race day in the end of March. The current prize pool for the Dubai World Cup is $12 million.

The Godolphin Mile is 1600 meters on dirt. The race is a Group 2 event and the prize purse is $1 million. This mile run is open to horses that are three-years-old and up from the Southern Hemisphere.
Dubai Gold Cup Betting
The Dubai Gold Cup is the longest race of the day at 3200 meters. The $1 million event is covered on turf.
Al Quoz Sprint Betting
The Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint is 1200 meters on turf and it’s one of the shortest races on the card. The prize pool is $1.5 million and the race is open to three-years-old and up in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Group 2 UAE Derby also has a prize purse of $1 million and the event is 1800 meters on dirt. The UAE Derby has been run since 2000 and since 2013 this race is now a qualifier for the Kentucky Derby.
Dubai Golden Shaheen Betting
The Dubai Golden Shaheen is a Group 1 race on dirt and it covers 1200 meters. The prize purse is $2 million and the race is open to horses three-years-old and up.
Dubai Turf Betting
One of the biggest races of the night is the $5 million Dubai Turf. This Group 1 horse race is also run on turf and it covers 1800 meters. This is one of the premier events on turf from around the world and it is open to horses three-years-old and up.
Dubai Sheema Classic Betting
The Dubai Sheema Classic is a turf event and is a Group 1 horse race with a total prize purse is $6 million. The race is 2410 meters in length.
Dubai World Cup Betting
The signature event at Meydan Racecourse in the end of March is the Dubai World Cup. It is the ninth and final race. The total prize pool is currently $12 million with the winner receiving over $7 million.
