Eagles vs. Texans Player Props Picks for TNF Week 9

The Houston Texans (1-5-1) host the Philadelphia Eagles (7-0) on Thursday Night Football.

This week 9 match-up isn’t expected to be close. The Eagles have jumped to -14 favorites at most shops and big favorites are always a risky bet. However, there’s lots of value in the player props markets.

I’m now 17-8 on my last 25 player props picks here at ScoresAndStats. I’ve identified the top five player props for the Eagles vs. Texans Thursday Night Football week 9 match-up.

Dameon Pierce Over 64.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Pierce is coming off a poor outing where he rushed for just 35 yards on 15 carries. However, that was against the Titans who rank #2 in rushing yards allowed (89.1 RYPG) this season.

The Eagles rank #15 against the run (114.7 RYPG). Pierce has rushed for 65+ yards in five of seven games. Houston need to establish the run to keep the Eagles offense off the field this week.

Look for Pierce to get back on track and cash this NFL week 9 player prop bet.

NFL Odds

Miles Sanders Over 79.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

Sanders comes into this game with 563 rushing yards (4.9 yards per carry) and 5 rushing TDs. He only had 9 carries last week and still gained 78 yards against the Steelers.

Sanders has had 80+ rushing yards in only three of seven games this season, but he’s going up against the worst rushing defense this week. The Texans are allowing 186 RYPG (32nd).

A.J. Brown Over 4.5 Receptions (-138)

Brown is coming off a huge performance where he hauled in 6 receptions for 156 yards and 3 TDs. Brown has hauled in 5+ receptions in six of seven games this season. This reception total seems a bit low.

The Texans rank #17 against the pass (217.6 PYPG). Brown may have trouble exceeding his receiving yards total (69.5), but there’s a good chance he’s able to haul in 5 receptions.

NFL Picks

Haason Reddick Over 0.75 Sacks (+150)

The Eagles have been getting to the QB this season. They average 3.3 sacks per game (2nd). Davis Mills has been sacked an average 2.3 times per game (15th) this season.

Reddick leads the Eagles in sacks (5.5) and he has been turning it up as of late. He didn’t have a sack in the first two weeks of the season, but he has had at least 1 sack in four of the last five games.

Kyzir White Over 5.5 Tackles + Assists (-120)

White has had 28 solo tackles and 20 assists this season. He ranks second on the team in tackles + assists (48). White has had 6+ tackles and assists in four of the Eagles last five games.

Mills only averages 6.4 yards per pass attempt. There are going to be tackle opportunities for White in the short passing game and he’s also going to be active at stopping the Texans run game.
