Parlay bets are a great way to win money on baseball. The Tuesday slate is loaded with games that have excellent betting value. Here are my best bets for a parlay on July 6!
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Miami Marlins
Best Bet: Dodgers ML (-142)
The Marlins defeated the Dodgers 5-4 in game one of this series in Miami. This win ended the Dodgers’ nine-game winning streak. For bettors, this game has tremendous value on the moneyline.
Los Angeles losing yesterday has decreased their moneyline odds. -142 is not ideal, but it will be valuable in a parlay. It’s unlikely that Los Angeles will drop two straight to Miami.
Tony Gonsolin will pitch for the Dodgers against Pablo Lopez for Miami. This pitching matchup is even, but Los Angeles will win with offense. If the Dodgers show up at the plate, this game will not be close.
I fully expect the team to bounce back in game two behind Max Muncy, Mookie Betts, and Cody Bellinger.
Milwaukee Brewers vs. New York Mets
Best Bet: Under 7 Runs (-118)
The Brewers and the Mets hit the ball well in game one, and the score stayed under seven. New York won 4-2 in the opener thanks to an offensive surge led by Pete Alonso. In game one, Brandon Woodruff threw for Milwaukee, and Tylor Megill pitched for NY.
Both starters and a strong relief effort helped this game stay under. The pitching matchup in game two is more favorable for the under.
Jacob deGrom and Brett Anderson will pitch on Tuesday evening. Anderson is 2-5 with a 4.69 ERA, which is not great. Although, deGrom will keep the game under. He is 7-2 with a 0.95 ERA and 136 strikeouts.
deGrom was banged around in his last start, but this is not common. He should shut down the Brewers’ offense on Tuesday, keeping this total under seven.
Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels
Best Bet: Red Sox ML (-116)
The Boston Red Sox are turning into a legit World Series contender. The team is continuing to win games even as underdogs. They defeated the Angels 5-4 in game one, and I expect a similar result this evening.
Many people are afraid to bet on the Red Sox because Shohei Ohtani is pitching. Ohtani is a rarity in the sport, but he is not unhittable. 100 MPH fastballs do not mean that the Red Sox cannot do damage.
Boston has one of the best lineups in the game. Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts will start in the All-Star Game at third and shortstop. Devers has blasted 21 HR with 71 RBI. Bogaerts has defined consistency, slashing .321/.385/.533.
Nathan Eovaldi will pitch for the Red Sox, and he has been better than Ohtani. Eovaldi is 9-4 with a 3.41 ERA. He has stepped into the ace role for Boston without Chris Sale and led the team.
Ohtani is 3-1 with a 3.60 ERA. He should pitch well, and this will be a tight game. Although, Boston will prosper.
