NBA Cappers Know Slow and Steady Wins the Race

In Week 1, we saw some great performances out of Bill Blatt and other cappers who went 100% on their wagers. This week, the roster has changed up a bit, but there was still a lot of money being made.

Check out which of our cappers walked away in the green:

Evan Lewis Edges His Way to the Top

When it comes to betting on the NBA, some cappers stick to moneylines, betting on the favorite for every matchup. While this strategy can sometimes payoff, it’s not as effective as betting spreads and totals.

Evan Lewis seems to have mastered the art of the spread wager. He’s betting relatively basic odds here, -110 or -115, but he’s winning them.

I want to highlight Lewis’ singular loss last week, as it’s a weird one. The Utah Jazz -2 spread is a risky wager. To start, the lower the spread, the riskier it is. But he did it for -110 odds. If the spread on that game was so close, I wouldn’t have wagered it. Considering the Spurs won by 18 points, it was kind of a real bad beat for Lewis. But, he wasn’t alone, a few other of our cappers bet the same lines and also took an L.

Regardless, he’s learned his lesson since then, and has kept his spreads a bit more consistent, on the high end. As the NBA season progresses, I’m interested to see if Lewis can keep up his momentum.

Top NBA Handicappers in Week 2

Last week was a good week for NBA handicappers. Knup Sports, sticking to the “more is more” philosophy went 21-11 but brought home $890 in profit.

Evan Lewis, a bit more conservative when it comes to volume, walked away with almost $500 and an 85% win rate.

In total, our top five NBA cappers had a 45-18 record with a 71% win rate and $2,465 won overall.

Blatt Definitely Can Miss

Our handicapper highlight last week was Bill Blatt, who started the season off strong with 6 consecutive wins for a total of $600 profit.

He’s fallen off since then, unfortunately. His strategy of betting the favorite for all spreads and totals doesn’t seem to have worked out for him, going 2-2 in Week 2 and losing $25 overall.

Where Our Money’s at This Week

Tonight, we have the Raptors vs Kings game, which is bound to be an interesting one. A lot of our cappers are betting the spread at +10.5, but whether the Raptors can pull it off is another story. BetUS has them rated at +450 on the moneyline.

On Friday, we have the Cavaliers take on the Warriors. The Cavaliers are leading the Eastern Conference right now, 8-0. The Warriors are doing quite well too, 6-1. This will be a divisive game, so keep an eye on the odds as it draws near.
