Week 24 was a slow week for NBA handicappers. Despite nice records and lines in the green, the ScoresandStats.com cappers took their leisure time serious this past week.
But as we head into the Play-In tournament next week, the heat is about to get turned up. Check out what happened last week and see where our money is in week 25.
The Best NBA Handicappers Last Week
Well, if we thought week 23 was slow, then this week is particularly sluggish. In total, the top five handicappers made $1,457 betting on the NBA, a whole $300 less than the previous week.

In total, the top five handicappers went 32-16 with an overall win rate of 66.67%. The win rate is also a downgrade from last week, but just by a percent or two.
Maybe all the handicappers are waiting for the playoffs to start betting in volume, but there wasn’t that much to be seen this week.
Hunter Price Was 1 Spread Away from Perfect
Hunter Price, a newcomer to the leaderboard, I believe, topped off the charts last week with a 5-1 record. He bet all on spreads, and saw good success with both overs and unders.
However, he could have had a perfect record had it not been for the -4.5 on the Warriors. He was really far off with that wager, even if it had been a +4.5, he still would have lost!
GAME DATE | SPORT | TEAMS | SCORE | BET TYPE | DESCRIPTION | RESULT |

2025-04-08 | NBA BASKETBALL |
ATLANTA HAWKS @ORLANDO MAGIC |
112 – 119 | Spread | [538] ORLANDO MAGIC -4-110 | Win |
2025-04-06 | NBA BASKETBALL |
HOUSTON ROCKETS @GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS |
106 – 96 | Spread | [530] GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS -4½-110 | Lose |
2025-04-05 | NBA BASKETBALL |
DALLAS MAVERICKS @LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS |
104 – 135 | Spread | [510] LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS -8-110 | Win |
If we extend Price’s pick range to the last 30 days, we see that he loves betting spreads, having won 10 out of 11 total, for $890 in profit.
Price is a good handicapper to watch as we move into playoff season, as his spreads tend to be well-thought out and accurate.
Where We’re Betting This Week
The SoFi Play-In Tournament starts on April 15th, with 8 teams competing for a spot in the Playoffs.
The Mavericks, Kings, Timberwolves, and Grizzlies make up the West Play-In teams, while the Heat, Bulls, Hawks, and Magic make up the East. Happy to see the Hawks make it into this tournament, though I’m not sure if they have what it takes to make it all the way.
Anyways, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the Play In teams as they prep for this tournament. Tonight, though, we’ll be watching the Trail Blazers and the JAzz. Consensus looks like -5.5 spread for the Trail Blazers.
