NBA Player Props Picks for Friday, January 6th 2023

The NBA action continues on Friday, January 6th, with 11 games on the schedule. That means we have plenty of appealing NBA player props to take advantage of, as 22 of the league’s 30 teams take to the court.

In order to find the best possible betting value, I decided to explore five different markets for Friday’s NBA player props picks. Consequently, my recommended wagers involve points, assists, rebounds, steals and threes.

Trae Young – Over 8.5 Assists (-145)

Hawks vs. Lakers Picks

Only one player – Tyrese Haliburton – has a better assists-per-game average than Trae Young this season. The Atlanta Hawks star has chalked up 336 assists in 34 outings, meaning he averages 9.9 assists per game in 2022-33.

Young has registered over 9.5 assists in six of his previous ten appearances and even notched 14 assists against the Golden State Warriors earlier this week. With that in mind, he shouldn’t struggle to achieve over 8.5 assists against the LA Lakers on Friday.

NBA Betting Lines

Giannis Antetokounmpo – Over 12.5 Rebounds (+100)

Hornets vs. Bucks Picks

The Milwaukee Bucks find themselves second in the Eastern Conference following a run of three wins in four games. Unsurprisingly, Giannis Antetokounmpo has played a key role in Milwaukee’s recent success.

Across his previous four appearances, the two-time NBA MVP has racked up 173 points and 73 rebounds. He now averages 12.1 rebounds per game this season, so I’m backing his to record over 12.5 rebounds against the Charlotte Hornets.

DeMar DeRozan – Over 25.5 Points (-110)

Bulls vs. 76ers Picks

The Chicago Bulls head into Friday’s clash against the Philadelphia 76ers on a run of six wins in nine games. The Bulls claimed a nine-point victory over the Brooklyn Nets last time out, with DeMar DeRozan producing a dominant individual display.

DeRozan averages 26.6 points per game this season and is one of only seven players to surpass the 1000-point milestone in 2022-23. Having racked up 44 points against the Cleveland Browns earlier this week, he looks set to notch over 25.5 points against Philly.

NBA Predictions

Anfernee Simons – Over 3.5 Threes (-120)

Trail Blazers vs. Pacers Picks

Only two players – Buddy Hield and Donovan Mitchell – have delivered more three-pointers than Anfernee Simons this season. The Portland Trail Blazers star has chalked up 133 threes in 35 outings, meaning he averages 3.8 threes per game.

The Trail Blazers have been wildly inconsistent of late, registering four wins and six losses in the past ten games. However, Simons has remained consistent throughout the campaign. That’s why I’m backing him to record over 3.5 three against the Indiana Pacers.

OG Anunoby – Over 1.5 Steals (+105)

Knicks vs. Raptors Picks

OG Anunoby sits at the summit of the steals leaderboard, having amassed 75 steals in 34 appearances this season. As it stands, the Toronto Raptors forward is the only player in the NBA averaging more than two steals per game in 2022-23.

On Friday, the Raptors host the New York Knicks, who head to Scotiabank Arena on a three-game winning streak. The Knicks look set to give the Raptors a run for their money, but I’m confident that Anunoby will rack up over 1.5 steals.
