Houston Rockets at Chicago Bulls ATS Pick

Best Bet: Rockets -1

This is going to be a weird game. DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall will both play their first game in two years and do it in Houston uniforms.

James Harden still needs five more COVID-19 tests to be negative in order to play. And the Rockets are going to have a center in their lineup again.

The Rockets are a bit of a mess, really. Chicago, on the other hand, should be looking to compete for the play-in tournament this year. New coach Billy Donovan brings a winning pedigree to the city, with the team’s young stars eager to play for him.

Preseason basketball is very unpredictable, but the bet here is pretty clear. Chicago has more depth, and we know more of what to expect from them. Chicago +1 is the way to go.

New York Knicks at Detroit Pistons ATS Pick

Best Bet: Knicks -4.5

It was a very eventful offseason for the Pistons. They signed Jerami Grant, traded Luke Kennard, and drafted their point guard of the future in Killian Hayes.

Blake Griffin should be healthy and ready to contribute. Plus, the Pistons signed/traded for/drafted five centers before moving a pair of them.

New York enters the Tom Thibodeau era this year, but we’ll see how long it takes for results.

The Knicks selected big man Obi Toppin in the draft, a player who’s got a lot of potential to be a big player in the Big Apple.

The roster is a bit mismatched and lacking in outside shooting. That’s not a good thing to be true of your group in the modern NBA.

Given that it’s the preseason, New York will probably find a way to win. Make sure your bet is on Toppin and Co. at +4.5.

Orlando Magic at Atlanta Hawks ATS Picks

Best Bet: Hawks -4

It is going to be a tough year for the Orlando Magic. Aaron Gordon continues to be thrown around in trade rumors, while Jonathan Isaac is going to miss the entire year with the brutal injury he suffered in the bubble.

The Magic didn’t make any major changes this offseason. It will be fun to watch rookie Cole Anthony lead the second unit, but that was the biggest thing that happened.

Meanwhile, Atlanta just went all out. Bogdan Bogdanovic and Danilo Gallinari are both in Hawks uniforms now. The Hawks got Rajon Rondo from the NBA champion Lakers, as well as a defensive stopper in Kris Dunn.

Atlanta drafted well and now has one of the most impressive depth charts in the entire league. The Hawks will be must-see when the regular season kicks off.

Plus, Clint Capela can finally make his team debut. It’s been a while since he’s played.

Atlanta’s young talent will guide the team to a big win by putting up big fourth-quarter numbers. So, Atlanta -4 is the move, folks.
