Expert NFL Divisional Round Predictions
The NFL Divisional Round gets underway this Saturday. You will be pleased to learn that our NFL Divisional Round predictions cover all four games scheduled for this weekend.
Without further ado, let’s dive into our NFL Divisional Round predictions.
Texans vs. Ravens Prediction
Moneyline Odds: Ravens (-425) / Texans (+330)
Having finished atop the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens are heavily favored to overcome the Houston Texans on Saturday. When you look at the bigger picture, only the San Francisco 49ers have lower odds than Baltimore in the outright market.
The Ravens posted the best defensive record during the regular season, with eight of their 17 games producing under 43.5 points (47%). Since seven of the Texans’ 18 games have served up under 43.5 points this season (39%), we like the look of the under bet for this showdown.
Best Bet: Under 43.5 (-110)
Packers vs. 49ers Prediction
Moneyline Odds: 49ers (-440) / Packers (+340)
If the moneyline odds are anything to go by, San Francisco should make light work of the Green Bay Packers. The 49ers won 12 of their 17 games to finish atop the NFC, while the Packers possess an inconsistent record of 10 wins and eight losses.
Not only have the 49ers won 12 games, but they have also won 11 games by at least 10 points. Better still, they have won by 20+ points on five occasions, breaking the 30+ margin twice. That’s why we’re backing San Francisco to cover the spread on Saturday.
Best Bet: 49ers -9.5 (-110)
Buccaneers vs. Lions Prediction
Moneyline Odds: Lions (-270) / Buccaneers (+220)
The Detroit Lions booked their place in the Divisional Round with a narrow one-point victory over the Los Angeles Rams. Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers claimed a convincing 23-point win against the Philadelphia Eagles to advance from the Wild Card Round.
That said, Tampa Bay has not been convincing throughout the season. The inconsistent Bucs recorded nine wins and eight losses in the NFC South, while the Lions won 12 of their 17 regular-season games. With that in mind, we expect Detroit to triumph this weekend.
Best Bet: Lions (-270)
Chiefs vs. Bills Prediction
Moneyline Odds: Bills (-120) / Chiefs (+120)
The Kansas City Chiefs crushed the Miami Dolphins by 19 points to punch their ticket to the Divisional Round. However, it is worth remembering that KC struggled towards the end of the regular season, losing five of their final 10 games.
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card Round, extending their winning streak to six games in the process. With a ton of momentum behind them, the Bills look set to get the better of the Chiefs on this occasion.
Best Bet: Bills (-120)
That wraps up our NFL Divisional Round predictions. We’ll be back tomorrow with NFL Divisional Round player props picks, though, so stay tuned.
