NFL Week 15 Monday Night Football: Best Prop Bets

The Pittsburgh Steelers will take a short trip to Ohio for a Monday night matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers couldn’t be more defeated coming into this game.

Pittsburgh is coming off two straight losses after starting the season 11-0. The Bengals aren’t a very good team. They’re +700 to win on Monday night.

When a good team plays a bad team, it’s tough to make money on traditional wagers. This makes NFL prop betting a great choice for the game on Monday night.

Chase Claypool 75 Yards and a Receiving TD

Chase Claypool’s production has gone down slightly. He had a few massive weeks, which has overshadowed his performance late in the season.

Claypool is still delivering week after week. He is also the Steelers’ big-play receiver and main red zone threat.

The Steelers use Claypool in goal-line situations over any other target on the team. He is also not one of the receivers that are consistently dropping the football in Pittsburgh. This will force Ben Roethlisberger to get him involved in the contest.

Claypool is averaging 51 yards receiving per game. However, he catches a lot of touchdowns. Claypool has found the end zone eight times in 2020.

The Bengals are giving up over 250 passing yards per game. The Steelers will most likely have more possessions to work with on Monday night. The Bengals’ offense has been even worse since Joe Burrow tore his ACL against Washington.

NFL Player Props Betting Strategies

Winning Margin – Pittsburgh by 7-12 Points

Pittsburgh isn’t as good as its record shows. The Steelers won some very tight contests against teams that they should’ve blown out.

This is a trap game for Pittsburgh. I believe it will win, but the Bengals could make it difficult.

The Steelers beat the Bengals by 16 when the teams met earlier in the year. However, Pittsburgh is no longer indestructible.

The Steelers have lost twice. They’re on a two-game losing streak, so the Bengals couldn’t be getting the Steelers on a better week.

Eight of the Steelers’ 11 victories have come by a margin between seven and 12 points.

Ben Roethlisberger – Under 280.5 Passing Yards

The Steelers offense has looked out of sync the last two weeks. The receiving corps has dropped a lot of passes, but Roethlisberger has made his share of mistakes as well. Roethlisberger is getting worse as the season goes on.

People thought the veteran quarterback had more years left in the league following 2020. This opinion has changed.

The way Roethlisberger has played recently makes me think he should call it a career. Roethlisberger lit up the Bengals secondary the last time the teams met for 333 yards. I don’t think he will be able to cause this damage once again.

Big Ben has only gone over 280 yards once in the past four games since he faced the Bengals. Roethlisberger has thrown over 280 yards on just four separate occasions in 2020.

The quarterback doesn’t have the arm to go deep like he used to early in his career. He is best in the short-to-intermediate passing game. He may get lucky with a few jump balls, but I like him staying under 280 on Monday night.

Expert NFL Picks

Highest Scoring Quarter – Third

I believe that the Bengals will keep this game close. They aren’t a good team, but Cincinnati is hitting Pittsburgh at the perfect time.

This game could go a couple of ways. The Steelers could fix all their issues and come out on fire.

However, this hasn’t been the way they’ve performed this year. They come alive late and typically play their best football in the second half.

I think the Steelers will come out lethargic. Chances are that Pittsburgh will be taking the two seed and playing on Wild Card weekend. The players know this will be their fate.

It’s going to take halftime adjustments and a Mike Tomlin speech to light a fire in the locker room. This will make the third quarter the largest scoring period of the night.
