NFL Week 5 Odds Comparison and Line Movement

It’s Monday, which means it’s time to analyze the NFL week 5 odds.

What a crazy week we just had in the NFL. The Steelers vs. Titans game was postponed until week 7 after 20 members of the Titans organization tested positive for COVID-19.

The Patriots vs. Chiefs was postponed and will be played tonight.

We have Patriots – Chiefs predictions and Falcons – Packers predictions for tonight.

Cam Newton tested positive for COVID-19 and won’t be playing tonight. It looks like Brian Hoyer will get the start tonight in the first game of the Monday Night Football (MNF) doubleheader.

NFL Week 4 Betting Recap

The Seattle Seahawks moved to 4-0 (4-0 ATS) with a win against Miami. The Green Bay Packers are the only other team with an undefeated ATS record (3-0 ATS), but that could change tonight.

Favorites ended up going 5-7-1 ATS this week. The Broncos, Browns, Panthers, Vikings and Eagles all won straight-up as underdogs in week 4. So far, it has been a week for the dogs.

The over has hit in 7 of 13 games this week – pushing the over/under record to 36-24 (60.0%). 9 of 13 games so far this week have had 50+ points scored. Where has the defense been in 2020?

The Broncos-Patriots game is off the board right now, but will be up tonight after the Pats game.

We haven’t seen too much NFL week 5 line movement yet. The Buccaneers spread has jumped up two full points, while the Cardinals and Cowboys spreads have dropped two points.

What NFL Week 5 Point Spreads Stand Out?

I’m jumping on the Seahawks at –7 while we still can. I’m surprised this line dropped with Seattle being at home. The Vikings (1-3 / 2-2 ATS) won in week 4, but this team is still a mess.

There are quite a few big point spreads this week, so I expect another week where underdogs are profitable. The Bengals, Raiders, 49ers and Chargers all stand out to me against the spread.
