We’re going to analyze the best NFL player props picks for week 5 action on Sunday.
Week 5 of the NFL regular season got underway last night with Thursday Night Football. The Colts were on the road, but came away with a low-scoring victory against the Broncos (12-9).
Here are the top five NFL player props to bet on this weekend:
Joe Burrow Over 274.5 Passing Yards (-120)
The Bengals have won two in a row after starting the season 0-2. This week they take on the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. The Ravens have the worst passing defense in the NFL (315.3 PYPG).
Burrow has thrown for 275+ passing yards in three of four games this season, including the last two. He threw for 338 yards against the Steelers in week 1 in the only divisional game this season.
Look for Burrow to air it out on primetime and Cincy to upset the Ravens.
Dalvin Cook Over 78.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Cook will be looking to erupt against the Bears run defense (183.3 RYPG – 32nd) this weekend.
Cook hasn’t had a great start to the season, as he still hasn’t had a 100+ yard rushing game, but that’s about to change. The Vikings are still feeding the football to Cook, so the opportunity is there.
Cook has rushed for 90 yards, 17 yards, 96 yards and 76 yards this season through four games.
Corey Davis Over 38.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
The Jets host the Dolphins on Sunday. Miami are allowing 299.3 PYPG (31st). The Dolphins are likely going to be winning this game, which will force the Jets into airing it out more often.
Davis has been a fairly consistent performer this season. He has 77, 83, 27 and 74 receiving yards in the Jets’ four games this season. Even with an average performance, he should get 40+ receiving yards.
James Robinson Over 61.5 Rushing Yards (-125)
The Jaguars host the Texans in a game the home team should dominate. Robinson started the season off strong, rushing for 66 yards, 64 yards and 100 yards in the first three games of the season.
He’s coming off a weaker performance, rushing for 29 yards on 8 carries against the Eagles. If the Jags can build a lead, Robinson will get more touches and will have a solid day on the ground.
The Texans are allowing 172 RYPG (31st), so there will be plenty of holes for Robinson to hit.
Demario Davis Over 0.25 Sacks (+205)
The Saints host the Seahawks in week 5. If NO wants to win, they need to put pressure on Geno Smith. Smith has been sacked six times this season and the Saints have seven sacks this season.
Davis has two of those sacks to lead the team. Look for the Saints to dial up the pressure and get at least two sacks on Sunday. Even a 0.5 sack from Davis would be enough to cash this bet.
