NFL Week 9 Teaser Picks – Best Games to Tease

Coach Rick loves himself some teasers. Last week, the Coach laid out three picks that all hit. This week, he looks to serve up another trifecta of goodness.

The Bears were good to Coach last week. Let’s see if they can do it again.

Chicago Bears at Tennessee Titans Picks

Spread: Bears +6 / Tease: Bears +12

The Bears aren’t world-beaters, but they keep games close. Last week, they hung around the Saints long enough to lose in overtime, 26-23.

This week, Chicago gets another tough opponent in Tennessee. The Titans, however, are coming off a disappointing loss to Cincinnati. Somehow, Tennessee gave up 367 yards of offense and couldn’t record a sack against an offensive line that played four backups.

The Titans defense has been its Achilles heel and the Bears, while not an offensive power, do well against bottom-feeding defense. Chicago put up 30 points on the Falcons, 27 on the Lions, and 23 against Carolina.

Now, underdogs have been a strong bet this season going 67-51 ATS. If you dig down to the road underdog, you’ll find they have had success as well. The road dog of six points or fewer has performed even better – 32-13 ATS.

The Bears are a potential play at +6. With the tease to +12, they’re a no-brainer.

Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts Picks

Spread: Colts +3 / Tease: Colts +9

The Ravens got beat by AFC North rival Pittsburgh last week. Not only did Baltimore get beat, but the Ravens got punished. All-Pro LT Ronnie Stanley is done for the season with a broken ankle. Guard Tyre Phillips also suffered an ankle injury and his status is questionable.

Now, Baltimore has to go play another physical, punishing defense in Indianapolis. Keep this in mind. Teams that have played the Steelers haven’t done so well in the following week. Those teams are a combined 1-4 straight up and 2-3 ATS.

The Ravens will also play without All-Pro CB Marlon Humphrey who is out due to the coronavirus. That could spell trouble for the Baltimore defense.

The Colts defense is fourth in the league in defensive efficiency. They are also fourth against the pass and fifth against the run. Even more impressive is the Colts allow just 3.4 yards per carry, the second- best number in the NFL.

Playing as a home underdog, the Colts teased to +9 make it a strong candidate for one of the legs of your teaser (How to Bet Teasers).

New York Giants at Washington Football Team Picks

Spread: Giants +3.5 / Tease: Giants +9.5

This game might be a pillow fight, but there sure is some value on the Giants as underdogs. Remember, the Giants only win of the season was over Washington in Week 6. New York was a 2-point favorite at home.

Washington has just two wins on the season. They rank 29th in offensive efficiency and the Giants actually allow just 3.7 yards per carry on the ground.

The bigger thing to consider is how well divisional underdogs are performing against the spread this season. In divisional matchups, the underdog is 25-14 ATS this season. Giving the Giants an extra six points makes this a nice addition to a teaser.
