Last week was slow week for NHL bettors leading up to the holidays, but one man put in the hard work to grind his way to the top spot on the leaderboard.
Check out how he did it and see what games we’re watching this upcoming week.
Sean Kuchman Narrowly Makes Positive Win Rate
Last week saw Sean Kuchman, a long-time handicapper at ScoresandStats, take the top spot on the NHL leaderboard with $260 in profit.
But Kuchman’s #1 spot wasn’t won with a few lucky wagers. No, he put in sweat and blood to earn that spot. He went 22-21 last week, performing his best with spreads. Unfortunately, moneylines were his least profitable type of wager, losing him $300.
Kuchman has really been putting in work, and I’d recommend anyone looking to win through the volume of picks to follow Kuchman’s totals and spreads. Moneylines aren’t his strong suit, but through perseverance, he made money last week.
Last Week’s Top NHL Handicappers.
Last week was a bit slower for our NHL handicappers because of the holidays, but there were a few that saw a good deal of success.
Overall, our top five NHL handicappers last week went 30-21, for an overall win rate of 58.8% and $1,171 in profit. That’s a pretty significant drop from the previous week’s 64% win rate, but it’s mainly Kuchman weighting the scales.
Where We’re Betting This Week
On Saturday, we’re going to watch the Canadiens vs the Panthers, which will be an interesting game. The Canadiens are fighting hard to stay out of the bottom bracket, and the Panthers have consistently been near the top. A strong win against the Panthers could be the motivation the Canadiens need.
And on Sunday, we’ll be watching the Wild and the Senators square off. The Wild have been in great form this season, while the Senators are middle of the road. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a Wild W, and we’re sure the odds will reflect that.
