There’s no topping the $4k performance from two weeks ago, but the NHL handicappers at ScoresandStats.com didn’t do half-bad last week. They maintained a 75% win rate and managed to walk away with $1.9k in profit.
Here’s how they did it:
SAS Insider Climbs Back On Top
A lot of the time, computer and AI picks models have a hard time keeping up with human handicappers. But, last week SAS Insider picked up the pace and managed to snag the number one spot with a 12-4 record (75% win rate).
They avoided betting the spread, and instead had an even split between moneylines and totals.
I’m actually quite impressed with the results considering the wagers SAS Insider made. Usually, picks models will bet along the favorite line because it’s the most “safe”, but last week we saw a lot of underdog moneylines come to fruition.
Take, for instance, the +165 on the Utah Hockey Club or the +230 on the Anaheim Ducks. Those are very profitable wins right there.
I probably would have bet the Hurricanes against the UHL in their game on the 8th, but hey, we can’t win them all.
SAS Insider is a solid picks model to keep an eye on, especially for beginners looking for NHL betting value. It’s one of our Starter handicappers, which means you can snag their full lineup of picks for cheap.
Top NHL Handicappers Last Week
After a blow out performance in the previous week, our NHL handicappers took it easy last week. They didn’t make insane amounts of profit, but the top five all managed to maintain a 75% or higher win rate.
Together, they went 23-7, averaging a 76.67% win rate overall. They brought home $1,953 in profit, which is no small amount.
Deluca Misses by a Hair
While not as impressive as SAS Insider’s week, Mario Deluca went 3-1 last week with $250 in profit. An easy week for him, and a cheeky quarter band in his wallet.
But he could have gotten away with more, and he was so close, too. His only loss was a totals wager on the Senators vs Panthers. He bet the under at 5.5, and wouldn’t you know the game ended at 6 points total. Unlucky!
Where Our Money’s at This Week
This upcoming week is a break for the NHL’s regular season. Instead, the 4-Nation Face Off event will run from February 12th to the 20th. The event has 5 game days, no playoffs, and features all-star teams from Canada, the US, Sweden, and Finland.
The first game is tonight at 8pm EST with Canada playing Sweden. The US team plays Finland on Friday.
