NHL Player Props Picks for Thursday, March 30th 2023

With no fewer than 11 games on the schedule, there is no shortage of NHL betting opportunities to take advantage of this Thursday, March 30th. Accordingly, I have scoured the odds to find the best NHL player props picks for today’s games.

NHL Sportsbooks

Chris Kreider – Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-105)

Rangers vs. Devils Picks

It’s second against third in the Metropolitan Division on Thursday, as the New Jersey Devils host the New York Rangers. While the Devils have lost six of their last eight games, the Rangers have won each of their past three and nine of their previous 11.

Not only has Chris Kreider registered four shots on goal in three of his last four appearances, but he has also notched 4+ shots on goal in five of his previous eight outings. With that in mind, I’m confident that Kreider will record over 2.5 SOG against off-form New Jersey.

NHL Betting Lines

Brayden Point – Over 0.5 Points (-200)

Capitals vs. Lightning Picks

Brayden Point bagged three points while the Tampa Bay Lightning crushed the Carolina Hurricanes last time out. The 27-year-old racked up two goals and one assist at PNC Arena, meaning he now sits 14th on the NHL’s points leaderboard for 2022-23.

Occupying third place in the Atlantic Division, the Lightning host the Washington Capitals, who find themselves sixth in the Metropolitan Division following a run of eight losses in 11 outings. Accordingly, I’m packing Point to enjoy plenty of success on Thursday.

Justin Faulk – Over 0.5 Assists (+145)

Blues vs. Blackhawks Picks

The St. Louis Blues claimed an impressive 6-5 victory over the Vancouver Canucks last time out, with Justin Faulk registering three points at Enterprise Center. It is worth noting that Faulk has notched five assists across his previous three appearances.

For that reason, I expect Faulk to grab another assist when the Blues face the lowly Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. Since Faulk has racked up seven assists in his last eight outings, odds of +145 for him to enhance his tally are too good to miss.

NHL Predictions

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins – Over 1.5 Points (+155)

Kings vs. Oilers Picks

The Edmonton Oliers secured a crazy 7-4 win over the Vegas Golden Knights last time out. As a result, the Oilers find themselves third in the Pacific Division, having won seven of their last eight games, and 11 of their previous 14.

Edmonton’s Ryan Nugent-Hopkins chalked up five points against the Knights, bagging one goal and four assists. Nugent-Hopkins has now notched 2+ points in six of his past nine appearances, so I’m backing him to score over 1.5 points against the Los Angeles Kings at Rogers Place.

Jared McCann – Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (+110)

Ducks vs. Kraken Picks

The Anaheim Ducks remain second from bottom in the Pacific Division following a run of five straight defeats. When you look at the bigger picture, the Ducks have lost 10 of their last 13 games, with only 23 wins coming in their 74 outings this season.

On Thursday, the Ducks face the Seattle Kraken, who occupy fourth place in the standings after picking up three victories in six games. Seattle’s Jared McCann has recorded 3+ shots on goal in eight of his last 10 appearances, so I expect him to bag over 3.5 SOG against struggling Anaheim.
