Ryan Davis Leads the NBA Handicapper Pack in Week 6

It was a relatively slow week for NBA handicappers in week 6, but a few stars emerged. Despite a dip in overall win-rate percentage, our top handicappers still managed to win more than $1,600 last week.

Keep reading to find out who the biggest winners were, and where our money’s at for next week.

Ryan Davis Uses the Spread to Make $390

Ryan Davis was at the top of our leaderboard for last week, with a 5-1 record and $390 in profit.

If we look at his wagers, we can see that he prefers to bet the spread, and he likes to do so betting the positive, for the most part. The only wager he lost was a -6 spread on the Timberwolves. That was a close game, and -6 was a bit ambitious. But, his other spreads all hit.

He also placed a cheeky +1 for the Kings, which was a bit risky, but pretty funny that he won.

Davis’ season record is sitting at 14-7 right now, which is pretty good. I’d keep watching his positive spreads in the coming weeks, as that seems to be his strong suit.

NBA Handicappers At the Top of Their Game Last Week

Last week was a fairly good week for the top five NBA cappers. Collectively, they went 45-26, with a win rate of 63.3%. Overall, they won $1,654 in profit.

The win-rate still could use some work, as it’s down again from the previous week. But, it’s still good to see some new faces in the top 5 board.

Al Grant Falls Back on Old Habits

Two weeks ago, we saw Al Grant as one of our top handicappers. His season performance hadn’t been great, but he did have a 100% win rate for the week. I had hope that his stint in the top 5 would spur him to greatness, but, alas.

Grant went 4-4 last week, bombing on a few low-margin spreads for a total profit of -$33.

I’d be wary of Grants picks on the NBA in the future, as he seems to get lucky once in a while, but can’t keep a consistent record.

Where Our Money’s At This Week

Tonight, we see the Lakers take on the Heat, and a few of our handicappers are betting the +2 spread on the Lakers.

On Thursday, the Nuggets play the Cavaliers, which is a favorable matchup for Cleveland. The Cavaliers are still leading the Eastern Conference, 19-3, while the Nuggets are 11-8.

And Saturday we see the Pelicans play the Thunder, which is definitely going to be a win for the Thunder. The best team in the West versus the worst team in the West? If the Pelicans pull out a W that will be a wild upset.
