A trend we’ve seen so far this season is that conservative bettors usually beat out volume bettors. Last week was another study in patience and persistence, with our top bettor going 8-3 with a strategic set of spreads.
Keep reading to see how they did it, and to see our overall stats in week 8.
Once Again, Spreads Make a Winner
Our top handicapper last week was Scott’s Picks, who went 8-3 betting on the NBA with a total profit of $470.
As usual, our top capper took their seat by betting spreads. Scott went on a 6-wager win streak last week. He just narrowly scraped by on the Nuggets spread; he bet +1 for the Nuggets and they won 130-129. How insane is that?
Top NBA Handicappers of Week 8
Here’s a look at the top handicappers last week.
As you can see, Scott’s Picks tops the chart, followed up by a few lucky 100% win-rate fellas.
In total, our top 5 NBA cappers went 21-4 last week, with an 84% combined win rate and $1,660 in profit.
Sports Hub Insider Has a Tough Week
A lot of handicappers did fairly well last week, with only a few losses peppering the picks board. Sports Hub Insider went 4-2 (admirable), but lost an early-week wager by the skin on their teeth.
You can see they bet the Trail Blazers moneyline, and jeez, had the team made one more 3-point shot, Sports Hub would have taken home the cake.
But, sometimes it happens!
Where We’re Betting Next Week
Tomorrow, the Oklahoma City Thunder plays the Orlando Magic, which will be an interesting game. The Thunder are crushing it so far this season, 20-5, while the Magic aren’t doing terrible either, sitting 4th in the Eastern Conference at 17-11.
Saturday, the Grizzlies travel to Atlanta to play the Hawks, which will be another interesting game. The Grizzlies are second in the West right now, while the Hawks are on the cusp of breaking into the top 6.
