Thanksgiving week football is one of the best times of the year. We have three games to bet on the holiday, but the best contest is Thursday night. The Buffalo Bills will travel to New Orleans to face the Saints.
Both teams are coming off a loss, so the traditional markets are unpredictable. On Turkey Day, prop bets are where it’s at to win big. Here are my favorite prop bets for the Bills vs. Saints on Thursday night.
Make sure you check out our 2021 NFL Thanksgiving Day picks for all three games.
Josh Allen Over 280.5 Passing Yards
Josh Allen is coming off one of the worst games of his career. Allen was 21 of 35 for 209 yards and two picks. In one of Allen’s worst games, he still averaged nearly ten yards per pass.
Allen is going to bounce back on Sunday because that’s what he has done throughout his career. For the Bills to win this game, Allen is going to have to throw the ball downfield.
The Saints just gave up 40 points to the Eagles last week. If Jalen Hurts can have a big day against New Orleans, the same will apply to Allen.
Josh Allen Over 2.5 Passing TDs
This bet is a slight risk for the gunslinger, but I anticipate Buffalo playing well. When the Bills are rolling, Allen is leading the charge. Additionally, the Bills do not want to run the football.
Buffalo wants to throw the ball, and this equates to passing touchdowns. Allen has only hit this total once in his past five games. However, they have lost three of their past five. The Saints’ defense is struggling, and this is the perfect game for Allen to find the endzone.
Mark Ingram Over 60 Rushing Yards
The running back that plays for New Orleans should have a big night. Alvin Kamara is the main back for the Saints, but he is questionable. If Kamara plays, I would go over on his individual rushing total.
However, if Ingram is the feature back, he should go way over 60 rushing yards. The Buffalo Bills showed they are not superior against the run. Indianapolis’ offensive line beat up the Bills last week.
If the Saints were smart, they would take the exact approach to win. Pounding the rock can work against the Bills. If you do not believe me, just ask Jonathan Taylor.
Alvin Kamara First TD Scorer
Sometimes with prop bets, you need to take a slight risk. Predicting the first touchdown is the most complex prop to bet. However, if the Saints can get on the board first, Kamara should find the endzone.
If I was Sean Payton, I would try to pound the rock with your beast. Kamara is the beast that must play an active role on Thursday.
Stefon Diggs Anytime TD Scorer
If Josh Allen is going to have a big day throwing the ball, Stefon Diggs will find the endzone. Diggs is Allen’s favorite target, and this has been apparent throughout the year. Diggs has six touchdowns on the year and three in his past two contests.
Happy Turkey Day, and best of luck betting on the NFL!
