Thursday Night Football is back in week two with the New York Giants and Washington Football Team. Both teams lost their season openers. The Giants were defeated by the Denver Broncos at home. Washington was bested by the Los Angeles Chargers.
With both teams searching for their first win, the players should be ready to compete. Here are our top five NFL player props for this week’s Thursday Night Football matchup.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer – Saquon Barkley (+130)
Saquon Barkley suffered a knee injury in the preseason that limited his availability. Nevertheless, he set the goal of playing in the first game and delivered. He rushed ten times for 26 yards, but look for his production to increase in week two.
For the Giants to be competitive, they are going to have to run the football. Washington’s front seven is ruthless, but Barkley has the talent to maneuver and find the endzone.
Anytime Touchdown Scorer – Antonio Gibson (-115)
Antonio Gibson was drafted in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He has taken over the starting running back duties, and he shined in week one. Offense was limited, but Gibson still accounted for 108 total yards.
Ninety of the yards were earned on the ground on 20 carries. With Taylor Heinicke under center, look for Washington to rely on Gibson. He should score his first NFL touchdown on Thursday night. Read our NFL touchdowns scorer props betting guide.
The Giants are susceptible on the ground as well, making this a perfect prop wager.
Chase Young – Over 1.5 Solo Tackles (-155)
This is a great prop to include in a parlay. If you want to bet it straight up, go all-in on Chase Young recording over 1.5 solo tackles. Young is coming off a rough performance against the Chargers.
The reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year only made one solo tackle in the contest. The Chargers had a great game plan to take care of Washington’s front seven. Look for Young to bounce back on Thursday.
It’s possible that his solo tackles could come on sacks because of New York’s atrocious protection.
Taylor Heinicke – Over 0.5 Interceptions (-140)
Taylor Heinicke will be Washington’s starting quarterback moving forward. Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered a hip injury in the opener.
Heinicke came in last week and shined with 122 yards and one touchdown. Nevertheless, for Washington to win, the quarterback is going to take shots down the field. He has only played in nine games since 2017, so I like the odds of him making a mistake.
Daniel Jones – Over 20.5 Passing Completions (-125)
Saquon Barkley’s production is going to have to go up against Washington. However, this does not mean Daniel Jones’ role is going to be reduced. In the season opener, Jones completed 22 of 37 passes for 267 yards with one touchdown.
Look for the Giants to have a similar plan in week two. Jones will have to run a lot of quick game because of Washington’s defense. These passes are completed at a high percentage making 21 a lock in this game.
If the Giants establish a ground game, this will help Jones reach this mark. New York needs to keep Washington off balance to have success.
