There are four NHL games on the schedule for Thursday night, and four teams could advance to the Second Round with a win. That also means that there are four teams trying to stave off elimination, and that will make for some desperate hockey.
Betting on each game on Thursday night is available, but you can also look at player prop betting options. Here are five of the best NHL player prop bets to make for the four games set to take place on Thursday.
Brad Marchand Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (+108)
The Boston Bruins are at home on Thursday night, and they must beat the Carolina Hurricanes in order to keep their season alive. With Boston needing a win, Brad Marchand will have to find a way to step up for his team.
Marchand has a history of showing up in the postseason, and he will be desperate to lead the charge in this game. It’s hard to predict that Marchand will tally a point, but he will at least get four shots on goal in Game 6.
Mitch Marner Under 0.5 Points (+190)
Maple Leafs vs. Lightning Picks
The Toronto Maple Leafs go into Tampa Bay on Thursday, and a win can push them into the second round. Toronto has been terrific on offense so far in this series, but it will be the Tampa Bay defense and goaltending that dominates this game.
Andrei Vasilevskiy has been shaky at times in this series, but he has still led his team to a pair of Stanley Cup titles. Look for the Lightning to really shut the door in this game, and that will keep Toronto from doing much scoring.
Mitch Marner has been great for the Maple Leafs, but he won’t score in this game.
Kirill Kaprizov Over 3.5 Shots (-152)
Kirill Kaprizov is one of the best offensive players in hockey, and his Minnesota team has their backs against the wall on Thursday. The entire Wild team will be aggressive in this game, but Kaprizov will lead the way.
St. Louis plays a fast style of hockey as well, and there will be some scoring chances. Kaprizov is going to record at least four shots on goal in this game for the Wild.
Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Points (-116)
The Edmonton Oilers need a win in Los Angeles to keep their season alive against the Kings. Edmonton is a team that loves to score goals, and Connor McDavid is one of the best players in the league.
Even if the Oilers aren’t able to score enough goals to win on Thursday night, you can expect them to put some on the board. McDavid is usually in the middle of all of the action, and he will have a big night on Thursday.
Take over 1.5 points as McDavid does all he can for the Oilers.
Anze Kopitar Over 0.5 Points (-164)
In that same game, the Los Angeles Kings are looking to pull off a stunning upset and eliminate the Oilers. Los Angeles has done it with a team approach up to this point, but Anze Kopitar has been relatively quiet.
The Kings don’t want to miss out on an opportunity to win the series, and Kopitar will need to find a way to step up. Kopitar will get in on the action on Thursday night, and he will score a point in this game.
