Where to Get the Best Odds on Moneyline Underdogs

Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans Week 2 Picks

Coming off a loss to defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City, the Houston Texans welcome Baltimore on Sunday. The Ravens finished last season with the best record (14-2) in the NFL and dismantled AFC North Division foe Cleveland last week.

Reigning MVP Lamar Jackson picked up where he left off and threw for 275 yards and rushed for 45 more against the Browns. So, how Coach Rick…how can you even begin to think Houston has a chance?

First, they are a home underdog and we know that home underdogs tend to do well in the NFL. Texans QB Deshaun Watson revels as an underdog. He is 12-6 ATS as a starter when Houston is the dog.

Also, consider the Texans extra rest. Houston played last Thursday while Baltimore played on Sunday. The Texans will have an extra three days – 10 days total – to prepare for Jackson and the Ravens.

Houston head coach Bill O’Brien is 5-0 ATS in his five games where the Texans played on a Thursday and had had 10 days to prepare for their next opponent.

Best Moneyline Pick: HOUSTON +235

Los Angeles Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles Week 2 Picks

The Rams continue their run through the NFC East with a visit to Philadelphia on Sunday. The Rams are fresh off a 20-17 season-opening victory over Dallas. The Eagles were a road favorite at Washington but lost 27-17.

Philadelphia is favored to win the NFC East again in 2020 but gave up eight sacks, two interceptions, and a fumble to Washington. The Rams will travel east and historically teams that do so don’t do all that well.

The Rams play great defense though and Washington might get a little too comfortable playing at home again. Head coach Sean McVay’s offense is just deceptive enough to make teams pay.

Plus, the Rams are listed at +115 on the moneyline. It’s a minor upset, but the Rams start 2-0.

Best Moneyline Pick: LOS ANGELES RAMS +115

Minnesota Vikings vs. Indianapolis Colts Week 2 Picks

Minnesota was surprised at home by Green Bay last week and now must travel to Indianapolis to face the Colts. New Indy QB Philip Rivers was supposed to ignite the Colts offense. Yeah, that didn’t happen.

Instead, Indianapolis lost RB Marlon Mack for the season with a torn Achilles tendon and watched as Rivers threw a late-game interception to give Jacksonville the season-opening win.

Minnesota’s new–look defense will be much better in Week 2. Rivers might be better also, but he’ll have to rely on Nyheim Hines (7 carries, 28 yards) and rookie Jonathan Taylor (9 carries, 22 yards) to bolster the Colts running game.

The Vikings have not beaten the Colts in Indy in their last six tries, but Minnesota is 5-1 ATS in their last six against the AFC South. The better running game and defense prevails on Sunday in my final NFL pick for the week.

Best Moneyline Pick: MINNESOTA +143
