After a 1-2 mark last week, Coach Rick dives into Week 3 searching for the best NFL moneyline underdogs. There are a few enticing ones like Kansas City +163 heading to Baltimore for a Monday night showdown of a potential AFC championship matchup.
Baltimore at home though, especially in prime time, is almost a virtual lock. The Baltimore Ravens are 12-0 in their past 12 home prime time matchups.
That means Coach Rick has to keep searching. Here’s what he found.

San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Giants Week 3 Picks
Yes, the Giants are just 2-12 in their last 14 games. They lost to Pittsburgh in Week 1 and Chicago last week. New York will likely lose RB Saquon Barkley for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
Even so, the picture is much worse in San Francisco. The 49ers lost QB Jimmy Garoppolo to an ankle injury. DE Joey Bosa is likely done for the season with what appears to be a torn ACL. Running back Raheem Mostert went 80 yards for a touchdown on last week’s first play from scrimmage then ended up on the bench in the first half with an injury.
The Niners were already without star TE George Kittle, WR Deebo Samuel, and an injury list so long it makes your eyes weary.
So, here’s how it plays out. The 49ers will play a patchwork lineup on Sunday against a Giants team that desperately needs a win. The Giants gain an advantage by playing at home, not because of any fans but by virtue of the Niners having to travel to the east coast.
Without their full cast of stars, San Francisco falls in an upset.
Best Moneyline Pick: New York Giants +170

Tennessee Titans vs. Minnesota Vikings Week 3 Picks
One of the early surprises in the 2020 NFL season is that Minnesota has yet to win a game. At 0-2, the Vikings face Tennessee and go on the road the next two weeks at Houston and at Seattle. It could be disastrous if Minnesota cannot pull off a win in Week 3.
The Vikings are 6-1 all-time against the Titans, but the two teams haven’t played each other since 2016. What was considered the Vikings strength – the defense – has not performed well. The Vikings are giving up an average of 35.5 points per game. That is uncharacteristic of a Mike Zimmer-coached defense.
The Titans are 2-0 and looking good. QB Ryan Tannehill threw four touchdown passes last week in a win over Jacksonville. Tennessee hasn’t been dominant though. Both Titan victories came on late field goals.
Tennessee needed a Stephen Gostkowski 49-yarder with 1:36 to play to beat the Jags last Sunday. Playing at home with their backs against the wall, the Vikings defense finally puts it all together as does QB Kirk Cousins and the offense.
Best Moneyline Pick: Minnesota Vikings +120

Green Bay Packers vs. New Orleans Saints Week 3 Picks
NFL bettors are in for a treat in Week 3 with a Packers-Saints Sunday night game before the Chiefs-Ravens Monday night showdown.
If you have watched both teams play, the Packers offense has been outstanding. The Saints? Not so much.
Drew Brees had some of his worst numbers in recent memory in a Week 1 win over Tampa Bay. Brees did throw two touchdown passes, but he only completed 18-of-30 passes for 160 yards.
Aaron Rodgers, on the other hand, is 50-of-74 for 604 yards and six touchdowns in two games thus far in 2020. Running back Aaron Jones has 234 yards on the ground and three scores and the Packers are averaging 42.5 points per game.
It’s unlikely the Packers will sustain that kind of production all season long, but they will sustain it long enough to win as big underdogs on Sunday night.
Best Moneyline Pick: Green Bay Packers +158
