After a subpar Week 4, it’s time to get back on the right moneyline underdogs in Week 5. The Giants and Jets won their first games of the season and the Cardinals surprised everyone by going 4-0 with an impressive win over the Rams.
We know they are out there. It’s just a matter of finding them. Here’s a look at the top three NFL Week 5 moneyline underdog picks.
Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers Week 5
Broncos vs. Steelers Betting Preview
This was a tough one for oddsmakers. The Broncos were an unbeaten 3-0 with victories over three teams that hadn’t won a game. Denver got stomped by Baltimore at home last weekend.
Pittsburgh somehow beat Buffalo in Week 1 then promptly dropped three straight looking horrendous on offense in all three games.
The Broncos come into this one as a small underdog. Denver QB Teddy Bridgewater has a history of success. He had won eight games in a row as a starter prior to last Sunday. He’s also 38-15 ATS as an NFL starter with Minnesota, Carolina, New Orleans, and now Denver.
The only thing is…Bridgewater might not start due to concussion protocol. Either way, Pittsburgh can’t run the ball and Big Ben Roethlisberger is on the way out. The Steelers defense can’t save the offense. Hurry and get this one at plus-money while you can.

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs Week 5
Bills vs. Chiefs Betting Preview
It’s a rematch of last year’s AFC championship. Buffalo heads to Arrowhead Stadium where they lost to the Chiefs 38-24 in January after jumping out to a 9-0 first quarter lead. Buffalo will bring the NFL’s best defense and one of the better offenses to Kansas City to tangle with a Chiefs team that is an uncharacteristic 2-2.
The Bills have the No. 1 scoring defense (11.0 ppg), No. 1 total defense (216.8 ypg), and No. 1 pass defense (167.3 ypg) in the league. The Chiefs are second in scoring averaging 33.5 points per game, but the big difference is the Kansas City defense.
The Chiefs give up 437.8 yards (31st) and 31.3 points (31st) per game. That’s why they are 2-2 and very close to being 1-3 if not for a late comeback against Cleveland in the season opener. Buffalo has played well as a road underdog going 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 such games. This time, the Bills get the win.
Best Moneyline Pick: BILLS +130
Cleveland Browns at Los Angeles Chargers Week 5
Browns vs. Chargers Betting Preview
The Browns have won three straight since almost beating Kansas City in Week 1. Now, they get to prove they are a playoff-caliber team again in 2021 with a road trip to LA. The Chargers are coming off a statement win over previously unbeaten Las Vegas.
The Chargers defense manhandled the Raiders offense in the first half holding Jon Gruden’s team to zero yards of total offense in the first quarter. If there was any doubt about the Chargers, there shouldn’t be after that 28-14 win over the Raiders.
The Browns are the top rushing team in the league and the Chargers, well, they’ve had some issues defending the run. Cleveland also has an outstanding pass rush. That’s how they’ll pull the upset on Sunday.
Best Moneyline Pick: BROWNS +105
