The field for this race is set with 11 fillies listed as entered at Horse Racing Nation. The full field should keep this race competitive from start to finish. Trainer William VanMeter could have the filly to beat in Lucky Betty. She will break from the favorable No. 8 post with jockey Declan Cannon getting the ride.
She started her three-year old campaign with a pair of victories at Oaklawn Park back in April. Last time out on Sept. 4, she placed third in the Grade 2 Edgewood Stakes at Churchill Downs. This was her first graded event and her first race on turf.

She is coming off a fade to fifth at Saratoga in this year’s Grade 3 Lake George Stakes at one mile on turf. This followed a pair of earlier victories in an Allowance Claimer at Tampa Bay Downs and a Claiming race at Saratoga.

2020 Hill Prince Stakes Preview – Belmont Park
Date: Saturday, October 17th 2020
Saturday’s featured race at Belmont Park is a Grade 2 event. It will be run on turf at a distance of one mile. The Hill Prince is open to three-year old Thoroughbreds.
This field is still coming together. One of the top contenders that is listed as probable is Decorated Invader with a HRN rating of 6.36. Trained by Christophe Clement, this three-year old Kentucky-bred colt is looking to improve upon a disappointing fifth-place finish in the ungraded Saratoga Derby on Aug. 15.
This snapped a string of three-straight victories. Two of those wins were in graded events, including the Grade 2 Pennine Ridge Stakes at Belmont on June 20. The son of Declaration of War covered the mile run on turf in 1:33.66. This appears to be his preferred distance as another plus for Saturday.
Island Commish could be a solid play in an exacta play if trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. decides to run this the three-year old in this race.
His last race was at Kentucky Downs on Sept. 16. The son of Commissioner placed second in the Grade 3 Franklin-Simpson Stakes at 6½ furlongs. He started the year with a victory in the ungraded Kitten’s Joy Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
Horse bettors can wager on both races at America’s Bookie or BetOnline.
