One of the best aspects of betting on NFL futures ahead of the new season is the overall amount of diversity in the actual betting options. Today’s top-rated online sportsbooks are only limited by the imagination of their oddsmakers.
For example, odds have been posted for betting which of the eight NFL divisions will win Super Bowl LVI next February.

Using the updated NFL futures odds to win Super Bowl LVI by individual team as a guide, you can find a few value picks based on each of eight division odds.
AFC West Favored With the Chiefs Looking Strong Again
Three months ahead of the new NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West are +575 favorites to win this season’s Super Bowl after playing in the championship game in each of the last two seasons.
The betting odds that a team from the AFC West wins Super Bowl LVI are also the best on the board at +300. Kansas City alone adds value to these odds. However, Denver, Las Vegas and the Los Angeles Chargers drag this value down a bit.
After beating San Francisco in dramatic fashion to win the Super Bowl in 2019, the Chiefs came up short last season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV. With Patrick Mahomes playing with a bit of a chip on his shoulder this season, he is already talking about a 20-0 run to pick up his second career NFL title.
Can Tom Brady Repeat for the NFC South?
Tampa Bay just so happens to be the second-favorite on the list at +600 odds. Bettors learned the hard way about betting against Tom Brady. Yet, winning back-to-back Super Bowls is very difficult to do.
Betting that a team from the NFC South, including the Bucs, is the second choice on the list at +400 odds. New Orleans adds some value to these odds but replacing Drew Brees at quarterback will be easier said than done.
NFC West Have the Depth to Win a Super Bowl
The NFC West led by the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers add quite a bit of value to this division’s +400 odds to win Super Bowl LV. The Rams have +1200 odds to win this season’s Super Bowl with Matthew Stafford as their new starting quarterback. San Francisco rounds out the top five teams on the board at +1400.
You could even add the Seattle Seahawks as a value team in the NFC West. They are 10th on the NFL Super Bowl futures board at +2200 odds.
The combination of the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens adds value to the AFC North at +525. Each of these teams have identical +1600 odds to win Super Bowl LVI.
The Buffalo Bills add value to AFC East odds at +575. The Bills match the Rams at +1200 odds to win Super Bowl LVI. Josh Allen could be poised to lead his team to a league title in his fourth season in the NFL.
My top play among the first four divisions on the board would be the NFC West at +400. This appears to be the strongest division overall.
If you are looking to stretch the odds a bit, a small bet on the NFC North at +825 might make some sense. This is assuming that Aaron Rodgers remains the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.
