Are you interested in learning how to bet on the XFL? In our XFL betting guide, we’re going to explain the different types of bets available with examples, so that even a complete beginner will understand.
There aren’t too many XFL betting markets available yet at most online sportsbooks. You’ll need to shop around if you want to bet on some of the more exotic bet types, such as props or player props.
Most Popular Ways to Bet on XFL Games
The most popular XFL bet types are the moneyline, point spread and game total.
XFL Moneyline Bet
Example: Vegas Vipers (+210) vs. Houston Roughnecks (-250)
When you bet on the moneyline, the team you select needs to win the game. However, the payout odds vary widely and you need to determine if betting a big favorite is worth the risk.
XFL Point Spread Bet
Example: Arlington Renegades +8.5 (-110) vs. DC Defenders -8.5 (-110)
With point spread bets, the odds are generally -110 on both sides. However, the favored team (- spread) has to win by X amount of points for the bet to win. The team expected to lose the game (+ spread) can win the game or lose by X amount of points and the bet will still win.
In our example, DC need to win by 9+ points for a bet on them to win, while a bet on the Renegades will be a winner if Arlington wins the game or if they lose the game by 8 or fewer points.
XFL Game Total Bet (Over/Under)
Example: Sea Dragons vs. BattleHawks Over 46 (-110) or Under 46 (-110)
A game total bet requires you to predict whether an XFL game will have over or under the posted total. In our example, if the game ends with exactly 46 points scored, both over and under bets are a push.
When a bet pushes, the amount you stake will be refunded to your account.
XFL 1st Half / 2nd Half
Rather than bet on the moneyline, point spread or total for the full game, some bookies will allow you to place these bets on the 1st half or 2nd half of a game only.
XFL Live Betting
You can bet on XFL games live as the match-up is being played. If you’re watching a game and want to place a bet, you can. The odds are adjusted live throughout the game.
XFL Futures Betting
There aren’t too many XFL futures betting markets. Before and during the season, sportsbooks will have odds on winning the XFL Championship. During the preseason there are also XFL division futures.
XFL Props
A lot of sportsbooks aren’t offering any XFL props yet, but they are available. Some of the props available include alternative point spreads, alternative totals, winning margin, double result and more.
You can also bet on which team will score first or the first score method.
XFL Player Props
You won’t find XFL player props odds at most betting sites yet. XFL player props allow you to bet on the result of a single player. For example, how many passing yards a QB will have in a game.
