Bulls Look to Stay Hot on the Road in Showdown with Nuggets
The Chicago Bulls are closing in on the end of their six-game road trip, and they’re doing it in style. After a dominant 146-115 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago will now try to carry that momentum into a tough matchup with the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.
Chicago (31-40) has found a groove on the road, winning five of its last seven away games and pushing to solidify its position in the Eastern Conference play-in picture. Even their recent losses have been close—tight defeats at Houston and Phoenix by a combined nine points.

Coby White, Giddey Fueling the Bulls’ Surge
Coby White has been electric, leading the Bulls in scoring in 10 of the last 12 games and boosting his season average to 20 points per game. His consistency and aggressiveness have helped spark the offense, but he’s not alone.
Josh Giddey is also stepping up, recently notching a triple-double and a career-high 17 assists against the Lakers. He’s become more confident in his shot, improving to a career-best 37.9 percent from beyond the arc.
“I started to figure out the last two months, missed shot, made shot, move on to the next one,” Giddey said. “That mindset has kind of been drilled into me… Now I’m to the point that if I shoot 10 and miss, I shoot the 11th.”
Nikola Vucevic remains a steady presence down low, averaging 18.6 points per game, while the absence of Tre Jones (sprained foot) will test Chicago’s guard depth moving forward.
Nuggets Banged Up But Resilient
Denver (45-27) enters the second night of a back-to-back after a gritty 116-111 win over Houston on Sunday. The Nuggets have thrived in these situations, posting a 12-2 record on no-rest games this season. But they’ll be without MVP frontrunner Nikola Jokic, who continues to recover from ankle and elbow injuries.
Even without Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Christian Braun, Denver managed to beat Golden State earlier in the week. Murray returned Sunday with a vengeance, dropping 39 points on 15-for-28 shooting to pace the Nuggets’ offense.
“First off, Russ is not just a dog. He’s a wolf,” said teammate Aaron Gordon of veteran Russell Westbrook. “Offensively and defensively, he’s always on 10, always on 12.”
Denver is currently 9-8 since the All-Star break and struggling defensively, ranking 24th in points allowed. That opens the door for the surging Bulls to continue their recent offensive success.
