The Grizzlies Can Win If…
The Grizzlies improved to 40-24 on the season with a 107-104 win over the Pelicans on Sunday. Memphis, favored by 10 points, didn’t cover the spread, and the game’s total of 211 points fell well short of the 239-point over/under line.
Memphis took control in the 3rd quarter, outscoring New Orleans 32-15, but the Pelicans responded with a 10-0 run in the 4th, turning a 91-87 deficit into a 97-91 lead. The Grizzlies rallied to close out the game, holding the Pelicans to just 7 more points while scoring 16 of their own.

The Lean
We’re calling a win for the Grizzlies, with a final score of 145-135, and we’re taking them to cover the spread. Our recommendation is to bet on the Grizzlies at -4.5.
Right now, the over/under line for the game is sitting at 243 and given that our model is projecting 280 points between the teams, we like the over.
Suns Look to Continue Sharp Shooting in Clash vs. Grizzlies
The Phoenix Suns are making a late push for the playoffs—or at least the play-in tournament—as they prepare to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.
Suns Heating Up at the Right Time
Phoenix has won three of its past five games, including a 125-116 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. The win pulled the Suns within 1.5 games of 10th-place Dallas in the Western Conference, the final play-in spot. With the Mavericks struggling amid a five-game losing streak following Kyrie Irving’s season-ending knee injury, Phoenix sees an opportunity.
The Suns put up playoff-caliber numbers against Dallas, shooting 58.3% from the field and outrebounding the Mavericks 46-32. Devin Booker led the way with 24 points, while Kevin Durant added 21 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists.
“We put ourselves in this situation, so we have to deal with it, and everyone in the locker room understands that,” Booker said of the team’s fight to secure a postseason berth.
Phoenix is trying to avoid missing the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 season. Monday’s contest is the third of a four-game road trip and a rematch of the Suns’ 151-148 overtime loss to Memphis on Feb. 25.
Grizzlies Searching for Consistency
Memphis is looking to carry momentum from back-to-back road wins following a four-game home skid. However, the Grizzlies’ struggles from beyond the arc remain a concern. They shot just 13-of-49 from deep in Sunday’s 107-104 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Two-time All-Star Ja Morant, recently back from a shoulder injury, has particularly struggled from three-point range, making just 10 of his last 60 attempts over the past nine games.
“It’s difficult right now,” Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said. “We’re not knocking down shots like we need to. It’s (created) a lot of pressure.”
Despite those struggles, Morant and Desmond Bane have taken over in the fourth quarter of recent games, helping Memphis survive off shooting nights. Morant scored seven of his 31 points in the final 1:35 to seal a 122-111 win over Dallas on Friday. Bane added 27 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in that game.
On Sunday, Bane nearly posted a triple-double with 30 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, while Morant matched his season-high with 32 points.
“I know the work he puts in,” Morant said of Bane’s clutch play. “I know the talks we have with each other. He’s built for it, and he’s been showing it night in and night out.”
With both teams battling for postseason positioning, Monday’s matchup could be crucial in the Western Conference standings.
