As for the total, the line is currently sitting at 222.5 and our model has the Wizards and Knicks finishing with a combined 232 points. Our pick is to take the over.
Knicks Look to Bounce Back Offensively vs. League-Worst Wizards
The New York Knicks aim to end a two-game skid and rediscover their offensive rhythm when they host the struggling Washington Wizards on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden.
New York Searching for Answers Without Brunson
The Knicks (43-26) have dropped four of their last seven games since All-Star guard Jalen Brunson suffered a sprained ankle on March 6. While they still hold the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, recent losses to bottom-tier opponents like the Spurs and Hornets have raised concerns about the team’s offensive production.
New York has failed to reach the 100-point mark in three of its last six games, including Thursday’s 115-98 loss in Charlotte. Despite strong performances from OG Anunoby (25 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns (24 points), the Knicks shot just 25.6 percent from deep and couldn’t recover from a slow start.
Head coach Tom Thibodeau noted the team’s lack of execution on both ends, particularly in response to their poor outside shooting. “You try to not let that take energy away from other parts of your game… we just didn’t make them,” Thibodeau said.
Brunson, who averages a team-high 26.3 points per game, remains sidelined but is out of his walking boot and shooting lightly in workouts. Thibodeau is hopeful the star point guard will return before the end of the regular season.
Wizards Slide Continues Despite Sarr’s Emergence
Washington (15-54) owns the NBA’s worst record and continues to limp toward the end of another difficult campaign. The Wizards lost 120-105 to Orlando on Friday, their third consecutive defeat, and fell behind by as many as 33 points in the blowout.
Despite the loss, rookie big man Alexandre Sarr continues to be a bright spot. The 19-year-old posted 19 points and 10 rebounds, his fifth straight game with at least 19 points. Head coach Brian Keefe praised Sarr’s all-around growth, pointing to his versatility on both ends.
“He’s progressed each month for us,” Keefe said. “His scoring, his driving, his playmaking – it’s all improving. Most of all, we’re seeing his defensive versatility emerge.”
Sarr is now averaging 12.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Jordan Poole leads Washington in scoring at 20.4 points per game, but the Wizards have struggled mightily to generate consistent offense or stops.

Knicks Seek Season Sweep
Saturday marks the fourth and final meeting between the teams this season. New York has won all three previous matchups and is riding an eight-game winning streak against Washington dating back to February 2023.
With Brunson still sidelined, the Knicks will once again look to Towns and Anunoby to anchor their offense while tightening the screws defensively against one of the league’s weakest teams.
