Thunder Eye NBA Record in Matchup Against Bulls
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been on a mission all season, and Monday night presents another chance to stamp their name in the NBA record books. When they host the Chicago Bulls, the Thunder can set a league record for most wins against the opposing conference in a single season. With a stunning 27-1 mark against Eastern Conference opponents, another victory would push Oklahoma City into uncharted territory.
But for the Thunder, this milestone is just one step in a much larger journey.

“Sam came in the first meeting of the year and said our destiny is ours to control and if we prioritize winning, we’ll win,”
Gilgeous-Alexander said. “I think everyone received that message loud and clear and we’ve taken that and run with it these past few years and we’ve taken steps because of that.”
Led by MVP frontrunner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City (62-12) is riding a nine-game winning streak and shows no signs of slowing down. Despite already clinching the top spot in the Western Conference, the Thunder continue to dominate. Their last five wins have come by an average of 19 points, and a staggering 48 of their victories this season have been by double digits.
The team is now just three wins shy of breaking the franchise’s single-season record for victories, set back in 1995-96 when the organization was still based in Seattle. With a perfect finish, the Thunder could even join the exclusive 70-win club — a feat accomplished by only two teams in NBA history.

Bulls Fight for Play-In Positioning
While Oklahoma City is aiming for history, the Chicago Bulls (33-41) are focused on survival. Tied with the Miami Heat for ninth place in the East — and currently owning the tiebreaker — the Bulls are clawing for a secure spot in the play-in tournament.
Chicago has won four of its last five games but suffered a tough 120-119 loss to Dallas on Saturday. With playoff implications looming over every matchup, head coach Billy Donovan is urging his players to treat each contest with urgency.
“I would think from Atlanta to ourselves, to Orlando to Miami, every single game you’re jockeying there,” Donovan said. “We’ll all kind of bunched up together. All these games are like that. To be honest with you that’s the way we’ve been trying to treat it.”
Familiar Faces, New Jerseys
Monday’s game also marks a return to Oklahoma City for Josh Giddey. The former Thunder guard, who spent his first three seasons with the team, was traded to Chicago in the offseason as part of the deal that sent defensive specialist Alex Caruso to OKC. The first meeting between the two teams this season ended in a 114-95 victory for the Thunder in Chicago.
