The Lean

The Bulls come in as the underdog at +7, making them our top choice on the point spread. We not only expect them to cover the spread but also believe they have a strong chance of winning the game outright, especially if you’re aiming for a higher moneyline payout.

Right now, the over/under line for the game is sitting at 234.5 and given that our model is projecting 203 points between the teams, we like the under.

Kings Host Bulls, Aim to Build Momentum at Home

The Sacramento Kings look to keep rolling on their seven-game homestand when they take on the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.

Kings Finding Ways to Win Despite Injuries

Sacramento (35-33) is coming off one of its most impressive wins of the season, taking down the Eastern Conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers 123-119 on Wednesday. The victory came despite missing key contributors, including Zach LaVine (personal reasons), Domantas Sabonis (ankle), and Jake LaRavia (illness).

DeMar DeRozan stepped up with 27 points, while Malik Monk added 22 to help the Kings secure their second straight home win. Jonas Valanciunas filled in admirably for Sabonis, finishing with 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Devin Carter (16 points) and Trey Lyles (13 points, seven rebounds, five assists) provided a spark off the bench.

DeRozan emphasized the importance of maximizing wins at home, as Sacramento battles for play-in positioning in the Western Conference.

“It’s been a long season, and we understand coming down the stretch every single game is important,” DeRozan said. “We’re home for a while and we need (to win) every single one of these games at home before we go back out on the road.”

Bulls Look to Bounce Back After Loss to Suns

Chicago (29-40) arrives in Sacramento on the second night of a back-to-back following a 127-121 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. The Bulls trailed by as many as 21 points in the third quarter but cut the deficit to four with under 30 seconds remaining before ultimately falling short.

Josh Giddey, returning from a three-game absence due to an ankle injury, scored 22 points and looked sharp in his return. However, his status for Thursday remains uncertain, as the Bulls will evaluate how his ankle responds overnight.

“We’ll see how he responds,” Bulls coach Billy Donovan said. “He looked like he was moving well out there. I think Thursday morning will tell a lot to see how the ankle and foot respond.”

Chicago has split its first three games of a six-game Western Conference road trip and remains locked in a battle for a play-in spot in the Eastern Conference.
