The Sooners (16-8, 3-8 SEC) have lost three straight games, their last win coming in a 30-point rout of then-No. 24 Vanderbilt on Feb. 1. Since then, Oklahoma has been outmatched by ranked SEC opponents, including Tennessee (70-52) and Missouri (82-58).

Coach Porter Moser expressed frustration with his team’s lack of fight in recent games.

“What we’ve done earlier in the year that we’re not doing right now is, emotionally and physically, fighting through hard times in a game,” Moser said. “I think we’re not emotionally together fighting through that, the hard parts of the game, right now.”

Oklahoma’s Jalon Moore (17.3 PPG) and Jeremiah Fears (15.2 PPG) lead the way offensively, but the Sooners will need more consistency to get back on track.

LSU Struggling Through Brutal SEC Skid

Things are even worse for LSU (12-12, 1-10 SEC), which has dropped seven straight games since earning its only conference victory over Arkansas (78-74) on Jan. 14.

“We got the shots. We got 10 more attempts than they did,” LSU coach Matt McMahon said. “We’ll get back tonight, get back to the floor and get ready for Oklahoma on Saturday.”

LSU relies heavily on Cam Carter (16.8 PPG), who has led the team in scoring in eight of the last 12 games. Jordan Sears (13.3 PPG) and Jalen Reed (11.1 PPG) provide secondary scoring, but the Tigers need more efficiency to snap their losing streak.
