2024 NFL Week 15 Odds and Predictions

Week 15 of the 2024-25 NFL Season will see all 32 teams in action as the Bye Weeks ended in Week 14. This week is also quite the polar opposites. For every exciting matchup scheduled, there’s a complete dud. 

For example, the week begins with a solid Thursday Night Football matchup between NFC West rivals the Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers. As compelling of a matchup as this is, Week 15 also has clunkers like the Baltimore Ravens at New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers. 

But, the worst matchup of the week is the New England Patriots vs. Arizona Cardinals. The loser could end up with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. 

On the other side of the spectrum, we have some thrilling games like the Kansas City Chiefs at Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans, and the main event of the week which is the Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions. 

Week 15 will also have their final Monday Night Football doubleheader. Unfortunately, these games also encapsulate the weird scheduling for the week. The First MNF game is the Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings. The second one isn’t much better, as the Las Vegas Raiders host the Atlanta Falcons.

Key NFL Week 15 Games

With Week 15 of the NFL season featuring most of the NFL teams, there are a few key Week 15 games that stand out from the rest:

This NFC West clash will kick off Week 15 on Thursday Night Football. It will be the second, and final, meeting between these two rivals during the regular season. So, this could be the final chance that the Los Angeles Rams have at making up ground in the division against the San Francisco 49ers. 

Not including the Week 3 game between these rivals, San Francisco leads this series with a 78-69-3 record. This Week 15 grudge match will mark the 152^nd game between these two rivals. San Francisco has gone 4-1 in their last five home games against Los Angeles. 

Can the Rams defeat the 49ers at home or will San Fracisco own both the Bay Area and So-Cal? 

Records wise, this game might not be as exciting as it appears now. However, even if the Cleveland Browns are close to a .500 record, they will still provide a tough matchup for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Cleveland is not an easy place to play at and it’s certainly possible that a mid-December game has inclement weather.

The Chiefs and Browns have played against each other 28 times. KC owns the slight advantage in this series with a 15-11-2 record. The Chiefs have also won five games in a row over the Browns. Although Cleveland is just 2-3 in their last five home games against Kansas City, they do have an 8-4-1 all-time mark at home versus the Chiefs. 

Can the Browns pull off the big upset or will the Chiefs steamroll Cleveland on their way to another top seed in the AFC?

This AFC battle is a key matchup as both teams could be within striking range of the three Wild Card spots, which means the loser could have their Playoff hopes crushed before Christmas Day. 

The New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars have played against each other 17 times and the Jags have a 9-8 advantage over the Jets. Jacksonville has also dominated New York when playing in Florida, as they have a 5-1 all-time mark in home games versus the Jets. 

Will the Jags continue their home dominance over the Jets or will New York get the big road win and take one step closer to a Playoff spot?

Even more than the Jets vs. Jags, this AFC battle will have a more significant impact on the Playoff race in the AFC Conference. The Miami Dolphins are expected to be in a heated battle with the Jets and Buffalo Bills for the AFC East crown. Additionally, they’re expected to battle both of those teams and the Bengals for a Wild Card spot. 

The Houston Texans are expected to run away with the AFC South division and could have it locked up by time we get to Week 15. 

Surprisingly, the Houston Texans are 8-3 all-time against the Dolphins. They’re a perfect 5-0 at home against the Dolphins as well. In fact, the last two times that Miami has played at Houston, they lost by an average score of 19.5 ppg. 

Can Miami pick up their first road win in Houston or will the Texans remain perfect at home versus the Dolphins? 

This game is the main event of Week 15, as you have two teams favored to win their respective divisions and make deep runs in the Playoffs. Despite being in different conferences, these two teams are quite familiar with each other due to their lengthy history of playing against another in the preseason. 

Although they only have played against each other 11 times in the regular season, these two proud franchises were linked to each other because of former Buffalo owner Ralph Wilson. With that said, the Buffalo Bills hold a 7-4-1 advantage in this series. 

Buffalo has won six of the last seven meetings including four in a row against the Detroit Lions. The Bills are 3-3 on the road at Detroit and have won the last two meetings in Motown, which includes a 2022 Thanksgiving football game. 

Can the Bills extend their winning streak to three straight victories at Detroit or will the Lions snap their home losing skid against Buffalo?

This in-state rivalry is a big matchup for residents of Pennsylvania. It first began in the early 1930s, and it has spanned almost a century. Neither team, franchise, fanbase or city likes the other. It really makes for a compelling game, especially when both teams are good. 

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles have played against each other 81 times. The Eagles have a sizable lead in this series with a 49-29-3 record. Philly has won three of the last five overall meetings. However, they have dominated the Steelers at home with a 29-9-2 record. Philly has won 10 straight home meetings over the Steelers. 

Can Pittsburgh snap this embarrassing losing streak at their in-state rival or will the Eagles continue to soar high as Pennsylvania’s top team?

Week 15 closes with the final Monday Night Football doubleheader of the season. Unfortunately, these two games aren’t that exciting to anyone that’s not a fan of these four teams. 

With that said, NFC North divisional rivals the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears will play against each other on MNF for the second straight year. Chicago won last year’s matchup and snapped a five-game losing streak against the Vikings. However, Minnesota owns the series advantage with a 66-58-2 record. 

The Atlanta Falcons are making their second MNF appearance of the season. These two MNF games are their first Monday Night contests since 2020. The Las Vegas Raiders will make their only MNF appearance, which will mark their 79^th time playing on Monday night. The Falcons own the 8-7 series lead and have won five in a row over the Raiders. 

Will either of these two MNF games be exciting for fans that don’t root for any of these teams?
