Serbia took bronze by beating Germany 93-83 on the day of the final. Germany had lost its semifinal to France by four, 73-69.

The United States’ semifinal was the closest game it played in the knockout rounds, four points against Serbia. Canada, the second favorite on our pre-tournament board, went out in the quarterfinals to the host.
How the gold medal game was won
Stephen Curry scored 24 points on 8 of 13 from three, and that shooting decided the final. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker added 15 each, and LeBron James had 14 points and 10 assists.
France stayed within reach behind Victor Wembanyama, who scored 26 on 11 of 19 shooting with seven rebounds. Guerschon Yabusele added 20 and Nando De Colo 12, but no other French player reached double figures.
Our pre-tournament pick was France at +1000 to win the gold. France reached the final and lost it, so the bet lost. The United States were -390 favorites on the board we published, and they won.
Olympic basketball odds for Los Angeles
No price on the 2028 tournament is quoted here, because we do not have a market we can source and date. When a board does go up, read each price as a chance: -390 implies 79.6%, +1000 implies 9.1%, and +2800 implies 3.4%.
