Southern Wesleyan (SWU) teams are nicknamed the Warriors. A new logo was introduced in 2013, but the Warrior name was retained. SWU competes as part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II level, primarily competing in Conference Carolinas. The Warriors also compete as a Division I member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).[14] Chris Williams serves as SWU`s athletic director.
