Erskine College Flying Fleet

The Erskine College Flying Fleet, representing Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina, competes in NCAA Division II primarily within Conference Carolinas. Their athletics program includes a wide range of men’s and women’s sports, such as baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, tennis, track and field, and volleyball, with unique offerings like acrobatics, tumbling, and e-sports. The nickname “Flying Fleet” originated in 1929 when a sportswriter was impressed by the college’s football team’s use of a dynamic passing offense, which inspired the name that endures today.
