Missouri Baptist Spartans
The Missouri Baptist Spartans, representing Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Missouri, participate in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Their primary conference affiliation is with the American Midwest Conference (AMC), which includes most sports. However, specific teams have unique affiliations; for instance, the Spartans’ football team competes in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC), while men’s and women’s lacrosse teams participate in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).
The Spartans field 28 varsity sports, including popular programs like basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Notably, the women’s volleyball team has excelled, securing two NAIA national championships in 2020 and 2021. Facilities for the Spartans include Spartan Field, home to football, soccer, and track & field, and the Carl & Deloris Petty Sports and Recreation Complex for indoor sports, which underscores Missouri Baptist’s commitment to athletics and community engagement.
